Paloma Muñoz
Singer - Actress - Dancer
Paloma Muñoz was born on July 8th of 1991 in Cordoba, Argentina. She has her first encounter with suitcases and sunsets when she moved with her family to La Pampa and Misiones at an early age.
She started guitar and voice lessons, singing Argentine Folklore in regional and national concerts and festivals. Furthermore, she started taking dance classes as Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Street jazz.
She never cared about the size of the stage, in every one, she showed her vocal strength to sing and the passion that moves her inside.
In 2010 the wind blows in a different direction and Paloma is back with the suitcase, this time, ready to be part of the sky of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia which offers a new stage in her life. She decides to pursue a career in Visual Communication at the Catholic University of Bolivia – Diakonia.
In 2011 because of her given skills in singing and dancing, she found herself as an actress co-starring in an original Musical called "Inhibión". The work was presented at the National Festival "In the tables" where the best musicals and plays are invited. Meanwhile she continues singing and dancing in festivals, concerts and even on events for The Argentine Consulate. She also ventured on Children’s Theatre as part of the cast of the musical "Aladdin" in 2012.
Her artistic need motivated her to start new encounters with Tango and Circus Skills. Also at this time a new dream appeared: to study Musical Theatre.
This new goal leads Paloma to improve her artistic skills, which were appreciated on the audition she made to enter The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA). Now, a new adventure and a horizon of the color of New York was waiting for her.
On May 25th of 2013, celebrating the day of the Patria Argentina and her new journey, Paloma staged "Libertango" a one-woman show where she gave life to Tango classics, managing to combine singing, dancing, acrobatics and acting on stage. Later that year she moved to New York City to be professionally trained with top-notch faculty and specialized classes in the Performing Arts Fields.
By this time Paloma finished the Conservatory and is ready to take the stage with her passion!
When you are born artist, I would say, there is an irremediable need for your feet to be on the tables of a stage. But not everyone should get on one. In the previous steps leading to this light-filled space, there must be someone who has striven, whose commitment is only to show art and pour out passion.
Those who step on a stage should have a trained soul. A soul that makes you feel that what you do, is what keeps your heart beating.
Paloma Muñoz, a person that vibrates when is on the verge of a stage, a soul that dances under the Art hands. She has been able to make of the space lit by the eyes of all who observe... The home of her dreams.
